Paul Joined the U.S. Navy in 1994. After boot camp at Great Lakes, IL, he reported to Basic Enlisted Submarine School (BESS) in Groton, CT. Paul was stationed on USS Pintado (SSN 672), USS City of Corpus Christi (SSN 705), USS Ohio (SSGN 726), USS Connecticut (SSN 22), and USS Springfield (SSN 762). He also completed shore duties on the staff of Commander, Submarine Group 9 and Commander, Navy Region Northwest. He completed 5 Deployments, 2 strategic deterrent patrols, and a transit of the North Pole. He retired in 2014 after 20 years of service.
